Are you covered against UFOs?

With reports of UFOs coming in from around the world and now claims of UFOs damaging property in the UK, you might wonder if your home and car insurance covers against UFOs.

You are not alone. Adrian Flux Insurance Services released this press release after receiving multiple calls from their clients wonder what kind of coverage they have regarding UFOs. Assuming the driver has a comprehensive policy, a UFO crashing into the car, would be covered, but a laser or photon torpedo would be considered an act of war, and would not be covered. If an intergalactic war led to Armageddon and resulted in the car being damaged, it would not be covered.

Regarding your home owners insurance, the rules are very similar. ‘Act of Alien’ would be classed alongside ‘Act of God’. “Claims for freak household disasters are nothing new,” says Julie Carter, insurance broker . “But if something like this happens to a householder, too often they fear the response from an insurer. They worry that it will be up to the policyholder to prove that a little green man was responsible.”
