Orang Pendek Spotted – Hair Samples To Be Tested
The team sent to look for the Orang Pendek in the Kerinci National Park of Sumatra are back, with two members claiming to have seen the mysterious creature and a yet to be tested hair sample.

In September, the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ), the worlds largest Cryptozoology organization, sent a four man expedition consists of team leader Adam Davis, Dr Chris Clark, Dave Archer, and Richard Freeman, Zoological Director of the CFZ, to Indonesia to look for orang-pendek. Orang-pendek is a sasquatch like biped said to inhabit the jungles of Sumatra.
No photographs were taken of the creature and results of DNA testing on the hair samples have not been released.
The www.telegraph.co.uk reports that Freeman thinks the creature is an undiscovered type of ape.
“We are not talking about a unicorn or a griffin, we are talking about an ape that’s unknown to science. We found several sets of tracks in mud and earth. I know those tracks are not made by any species of ape and are not made by any species known to be living in the park. It was an ape – but not a known type of ape – it’s more adapted for upright walking.”
Previous sighting report the creature being about five foot tall and say that it walks on two legs, and is extremely strong, able to rip apart falled logs.
