A local farmer name Pork Lowman found an almost 16 inch print in the woods near the intersection of Highway 18 and George Hildebran School Road in the southern part of Burke County.

A large, unidentifiable creature was recently sighted about 15 miles south of the footprint, adding to the bigfoot mania.

Our second year started with a bang, with the massive, yet generally unreported, worldwide July 4th 2009 UFO flap. The July 4th Orange Balls of Light were followed quickly by Mike Rowley’s Northport Devil. The phenomenon were first reported in April of 2009, but we didn’t pick up the story until mid August. Sights continue on Rowley’s property today.

In September, guest journalist Ashley Weller covered the The Galactic Gathering’ Conference from Denver, Colorado, including insight on talks by Sheldan Nidle and the always controversial Stan Romanek.

In November, we covered the Bigfoot Central $1,000,000 Hunt for Bigfoot that was to be held near Silverton, Colorado, July 10-14, 2010 which later turned out to be a bust.

The Spiral UFO Over Norway hogged the weird news in December and the new year brought a werewolf sighting in the always weird Cannock Chase and bringing us that much closer to the much anticipated return of Nibiru in 2012.

The spring brought us Mystery Booms reported in Colchester IL, Portland OR, and Bellingham WA and more Sasquatchploitation than we could follow.

And what to expect from the 3rd Year of Whales In Space?

I expect 2012 weirdness to continue to ramp up, more Orange Balls of Light, more bigfoot, some unidentified dead creatures and I’m sure some weirdness I couldn’t come up…

You may remember not long ago, Bigfoot Lunch Club asked “Is this Chimera theory going to gain momentum?” after a forum board poster claimed bigfoot was the product of Atlantians 800000 years ago crossing Grizzly Bears and humans and a pravda.ru article claimed bigfoot was an ape/human hybrid.

Well, I would say an email from Jesus counts as gaining momentum.

said that the creature had both human and gorilla features. Bigfoot is a
human-primate hybrid. Half man and half gorilla. A man made creature that
was created several thousand years ago by men who were slaves that took off
and ended up in Africa. They caught female gorillas and had sex with them.
For all the skeptics out there, they were real men that had real sex with
real female gorillas. And nobody was wearing a costume at the time.

Without a doubt, all the cool bigfoot folks with be in Eugene at the Annual Oregon Sasquatch Symposium 2010. This promises to be the hippest bigfoot conference of the year, with speakers like Autumn Williams, Bob Gimlin, Dr. Jeff Meldrum, and more, all sharing their experiences and knowledge at the Lane Community College.

The event goes all weekend. On June19th, witnesses and enthusiasts share their personal Sasquatch encounters at the OSS and on the 20th expert testimony takes front and center stage.

Michael Greene sounds like an ok guy. A retired Chief of a State Fraud Investigations Bureau who has a Master’s Degree in Psychology, a Court Qualified Questioned Documents Expert ,and former Investigator for the Public Defender’s Office who has spent 20 years looking for bigfoot. He has looked from glacier fields in the Yukon, to a meteor crater in northern Quebec, the Everglade swamps of Florida and the deep in the rain forests of the Pacific Northwest. Him website, www.bushloper.net, claims “You Can’t Fool A Thermal Imager”.

From May 6th on BFCL, VOYAGER on www.alienhub.com expressed his theory on the origin of bigfoot. Basically that they are the product of Atlantians 800 000 years ago crossing Grizzly Bears and humans. He adds they are extremely intelligent and “incredible strong and they can tear a man apart like a French Cruller Donut in no time and eat him just as fast”.

Or maybe a cross of human and ape as suggested by pravda.ru in a recent article.

The Hunt 4 Bigfoot is a… hoax.
In December of last year, we posted about Rick Lewis and the $1,000,000 Hunt for Bigfoot. To my knowledge, we were the first to post that the Kendall Mountain Resort Complex (where the ‘after party’ was to take place) had never heard of the event and was not hosting the party, as far as they knew.

Well, it seems 9News took it a step further and found out that the sponsors listed on www.hunt4bigfoot.com had never heard of the event.

Bigfoot Lunch Club covered the build up, as first Silverton tried to distance themselves from the contest and then when ‘hoax’ was declared.

The site has been taken down, except the message

NOTICE: THIS IS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF PARTICIPATION.

I exchanged several emails with Rick at the end of last year and have emailed him again to get some clairification on the sponsors and the event cancellation. I haven’t heard back from him yet.

BFLC gave me a little ‘smack down’ in a recent comment when I tried my darnest to imply the word ‘hoax’ may not best describe this situation. OK, OK, lets call it a hoax.

And then to Minnesota for Bigfoot: Alive and Living in Greater Minnesota?
ksax.com reports that the co-founders of the Northern Minnesota Bigfoot Society say “100 percent yes” that Bigfoot alive and living in northern Minnesota.

In fact Bob Olson, a co-founder of the Northern Minnesota Bigfoot Society, bumps it up a bit. “I’m 110% convinced that it exists. There’s just too much evidence, too many people’s emotions showing when they recount their stories. One lady cries when she recounts her story of how this thing stood up and looked at her. She felt it looked into her soul.”

Looks likes its ‘done’ and a trailer and other details are online at boggycreekthemovie.com. The movie is due out later this year.

Uggg…. it looks horrible. Sasquatchploitation at its finest worst.

The film is not yet rated and features starlets the likes of Melissa Carnell, from TVs “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant” and the single named Julin, who you might remember from Killer School Girls from Outer Space and an episode of “The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search”.

I think you see where I’m going with this.

In the photos section, we find several images of people with their guts hanging out (most likely savaged by the boggy creek creature), a couple of the ladies in bikini tops (or without their tops), and plenty of the actresses running, falling down, wading through water and otherwise fleeing from the creature.

The original ‘The Legend Of Boggy Creek’ is part documentary with interviews and part dramatic reenactments of reports of the “Fouke Monster” from those who have crossed the monsters path. A strong narrative by Vern Stierman tells the story of the residents of Fouke, Arkansas and the three toed bigfoot like creature that haunts them from the remote swamps and bayous of southern Arkansas.

It may seem I’m a bit too critical of a movie I haven’t seen yet (Boggy Creek Production, want to change my mind? Send me a pre-screen copy. I actually do want to see it). I just feel they have completely lost the essence of what was Boggy Creek. The original was made for $160,000 that was borrowed from a local trucking company to make an instant cult classic, the original “Blair Witch” project. Was it real? Was it fake? It must have been awesome to see that movie at a drive-in during the summer of 1972. The remake seems to have none of that, relying on blood and boobs where the incredible charm of the original was its raw film making style.

And it seems to be set in Boggy Creek, Texas, not Fouke Arkansas. They may explain this in the movie, but the whole background is based on the legend of the “Fouke Monster”. Packing up and moving to Texas is a slap in the face to origin of the story.

Did A Russian Hunter Save A Bigfoot?

Russian news agency Itar-Tass is reporting that professional hunter Afanasiy Kiskorov dove into a frozen Siberia river to save a trapped bigfoot.

Kiskorov and a group of other hunters were about 85 miles from the nearest town of Senzaskiye Kichi, when they heard breaking ice and howling. When they investigated, they found a “huge man covered in dark brown fur” trapped in the frozen water, unable to get out.

Kiskorov used a tree branch to help the creature free. The creature then promptly left the area.

Bigfoot DNA

Scientists using DNA to investigate the story of humankind have decoded genetic material from an unidentified human ancestor that lived in Siberia — and conclude it might be a new member of the human family tree.

Could that member be bigfoot?

Well, more specifically, we will call him Yeti because its thought that this new species, that split off from the branch leading to moderns and Neanderthals a million years ago, was found in Siberia.

The Siberian species DNA doesn’t match modern humans or Neanderthals, two species that lived in that area around the same time — 30,000 to 50,000 years ago.

No physical characteristics (like maybe big feet) were given in the FoxNews Article based on the paper published on www.nature.com, which has the sexy title of The complete mitochondrial DNA genome of an unknown hominin from southern Siberia
