YIKES!

Asteroid 2005 YU55 will pass closer to the Earth than the orbit of the Moon on November 8th, 2011. At over 1300 feet in length, this one would cause some serious damage if it struck the Earth. This is the nearest pass of a know space rock since 1976 and there won’t be another (fingers crossed) until 2028.

2005 YU55 will be able to be seen by a telescope with an aperture of 6 inches or larger, so plenty of data will be collected as it passes.

Of course we can’t mention near earth collisions with giant rocks with out mentioning some 2012 doomsday chatter.

Linda Moulton Howe of EarthFiles.com speaks with Don Yeomans, Ph.D., Manager, Near-Earth Object (NEO) Program, NASA Jet Propulsion Lab, debunking the idea that Comet Elenin is actually Zecharia Sitchin’s 12th Planet, Planet X, or ancient Sumerian’s Nibiru.

Space traffic has seemed to be increasing in recent years, if this has anything to do with the return of Planet X or 2012 has yet to be determined.

Located at coordinates 71 49’19.73″N 29 33’06.53″W, the object is estimated to be 700ft long by 150ft wide and possibly have red and blue striping.

It seems Prof Daniel Whitmire from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette believes the data concerning the angle that comets have been approaching the sun, may prove Tyche’s existence.

Could Whitmire’s Tyche be Sitchin’s Nibiru?

Nibiru (the planet associated with Marduk in Babylonian cosmology) has been credited by Zecharia Sitchin, author of The Earth Chronicles, as being a large planet with a long, elliptical orbit, reaching the inner part of our solar system every 3600 years. Sitchin claims it was instrumental in forming the planet Earth and the asteroid belt and comets, from a collision with a planet that once occupied the space between Mars and the outer planets, now filled by the asteroid belt. Nibiru is home of a technologically advanced human-like alien race Anunnaki of Sumerian/Mesopotamia myth, who came to Earth and subsequently genetically engineered our species, originally as slave animals to work in their gold mines, by crossing their genes with those of primitive man. These are the Biblical Nephilim and responsible for the creation of mankind.

Less than a month ago, the Chinese Media was spreading the 2012 Giant Planet Gospel, with comments like:

“Now to fully understand what this Global catastrophe is all about one must look at exactly what the ancients wrote about it, and can be summarized as follows:

1.) Every few thousands years (3,500-5,000) a planetary size “object” sojourns through our Solar System causing chaos among the Planets.

2.) The timing of this mysterious objects appearance coincides with a human population grown so large and powerful it begins to threaten all other life on Earth.

3.) The events preceding this mysterious objects return include social upheaval, world wars, mass animal deaths and powerful Superstorms.

4.) The culminating event is this mysterious object coming so close to Earth that our planet’s rotation is stopped, reversed and re-started causing massive earthquakes and tidal waves that wipes out nearly all human civilization.

5.) Both immediately prior to and following the cataclysmic destruction of Earth the “gods” return to save a remnant of humanity and help it rebuild a shattered Earth.”

Of course, not everyone is a believer. Matthew Holman, a planetary scientist at the Harvard Smithsonian Institute of Astrophysics, states “Based on past papers that I’ve seen looking at where long-period comets came from in the sky, and finding signatures of large perturbers of the Oort cloud, I was not persuaded by the evidence.”

Oh yeah, that makes me feel better.

The rumor mill has everything from them announcing that they detected chemical evidence of bacteria utilizing arsenic for photosynthesis on Titan to the declaration of extraterrestrial life being encountered.

NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe.

The news conference will be held at the NASA Headquarters auditorium at 300 E St. SW, in Washington. It will be broadcast live on NASA Television and streamed on the agency’s website at http://www.nasa.gov.

Iron Sky

The plot goes that World War Two SS officer Hans Kammler makes a significant breakthrough in anti-gravity and the Nazi spaceships were launched in late ‘45 to found the military base Schwarze Sonne (Black Sun) on the dark side of the Moon. This base was to build a powerful invasion fleet and return to take over the Earth once the time was right, 2018.

CME On Its Way To Earth

The joint NASA/ESA Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), sitting at the L1 point between the Earth and the sun, has spotted a large coronal mass ejection (CME) blasting in the direction of Earth.

While not an unusually massive eruption, the blast was at the same time as another phenomenon on the sun, called a ‘filament’, occurred, not far from the location CME.

The combination of these events led to a huge magnetic bubble of plasma being blasted into space from the sun. As the eruption was on the Earth-facing side of the sun, the CME is heading right for Earth and can expected to arrival on August 3rd, 2010.

While news.discovery.com doesn’t want you to panic, I find this whole thing a bit unnerving.

The choppy video below shows the C3-class solar flare originating from sunspot 1092 on the surface of the Sun on August 1, 2010.

This time, it was a nuke shot into space to explode in the Van Allen radiation belt.

The Van Allen belts had only been identified several years before and the mission Starfish Prime was launched, sending a hydrogen bomb into space on July 9, 1962.

From a recent NPR story

The plan was to send rockets hundreds of miles up, higher than the Earth’s atmosphere, and then detonate nuclear weapons to see: a) If a bomb’s radiation would make it harder to see what was up there (like incoming Russian missiles!); b) If an explosion would do any damage to objects nearby; c) If the Van Allen belts would move a blast down the bands to an earthly target (Moscow! for example); and — most peculiar — d) if a man-made explosion might “alter” the natural shape of the belts.

The explosion resulted in a amazing display of colors in the sky that could be seen across the Pacific Ocean, from Hawaii to New Zealand. Reports of electrical blackouts and strange electrical malfunctions (lights blowing out and garage doors opening and closing) were the only known side effects, except the light show in the sky.

Our second year started with a bang, with the massive, yet generally unreported, worldwide July 4th 2009 UFO flap. The July 4th Orange Balls of Light were followed quickly by Mike Rowley’s Northport Devil. The phenomenon were first reported in April of 2009, but we didn’t pick up the story until mid August. I expect 2012 weirdness to continue to ramp up, more Orange Balls of Light, more bigfoot, some unidentified dead creatures and I’m sure some weirdness I couldn’t come up…

Queen Puabi as she was found in her tomb at Ur in Sumeria

Since 1976, Zecharia Sitchin has been researching the idea that a “12th planet” called Nibiru swings past Earth every three thousands years or so. This 12th planet is the home of a group of aliens, known as Annunaki in Sumerian scriptures and the Nephilim that were mentioned in the Bible. These aliens crossed their DNA with the native hominids of the time, creating mankind as we know it.

After all these years, he thinks he may have a way to prove his theory.

Sitchin want Queen Puabi to be tested for alien DNA.

Queen Puabi died while in her 40s, around 4,500 years ago during the First Dynasty of Ur. Her body was dug up at some point in the 1920s or 1930s and it was determined that she was a “nin,” a Sumerian term which means “goddess.”

Sitchin believes that she may be close enough to the original beings that were tampered with to still have DNA evidence of the ancient-astronauts and the traits they purposely withheld from us.

Maybe by comparing her genome with ours, we would find out what are those missing genes that they deliberately did not give us.
