The story goes that on July 13 several students on an expedition to find evidence of Bigfoot saw a UFO while digging for what they believe were Bigfoot bones in the Kuzbass region of Kemerovo Province in Russia.

And there is video!

So is there a correspond between Bigfoot and UFOs?

The aliens contacted the Governor telepathically.

Ilyumzhinov claims that the aliens did not make themselves known to the rest of the world because they were not ready, adding that he communicated with them telepathically because there was not enough oxygen on earth to support them.

The report adds that his driver, his minister and his assistant were all present when the aliens made contact and rumor is that Russian president Dmitry Medvedev wants to speak directly to Ilyumzhinov. Medvedev is concerned that Russian security secrets may have been given to the aliens.

Both ABC and FoxNews have picked up on this story, giving different photo of Ilyumzhinov.

The strange object was discovered on January 6 by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) sky survey, which is funded by the United States Air Force and NASA and located in New Mexico.

Generally, comets follow elliptical orbits that get close in to the sun and grow long gaseous and dusty tails as ices sublimate off their solid cores. Asteroids are mostly in more circular orbits and with a high density of them living between the orbits of the planets Mars and Jupiter in the asteroid belt.

Several other comet/asteroid hybrids have been reported over the years, but are still not completely understood by astronomers.

This previously unknown object may be on a high speed collision course with another object in the belt. Astronomers can see debris from previous impacts, but have never seen a collision as it happens.

Is this a new object to the belt? With Aphophis – Asteroid 2004 MN4 recently in the news, the mystery object that passed through Saturn’s F ring and the increased fireball activity in the sky, one might wonder whats coming our way.

Aphophis – asteroid 2004 MN4 Is Coming This Way

In 2029, Aphophis – Asteroid 2004 MN4 will pass within 30 thousand kilometers of Earth. At over 1200 feet in diameter, Aphophis would cause some serious damage if it collides with the earth. The good news is chances of a collision in 2029 are quite slim. Bad news is that after it pass us in 2029, it will come back this direction in 2036 and some orbital models have the space rock striking Earth this time.

A top Russian scientist says they have it under control.

The head of Federal Space Agency, Anatoly Perminov, addressed Russia’s plans concerning Aphophis in an interview with the Voice of Russia radio show. He says the Russians are on the way to create a spaceship that will divert the threatening asteroid from its orbit.

This after all the fireball activity this year.

Some are claiming its a hoax, playing off the recent Spiral UFO Over Norway.

It is odd that there isn’t more footage or photographs. Both the daylight and night time sightings appear to be prolonged events and you would think more photos and videos would be online if it was witnessed by others

Breaking news from Yahoo UK News is reporting a strange triangular UFO over Moscow, Russia. The pyramid-shaped object was said to have remained for hours over the Red Square in the Russian capital.

The fuzzy grey shape was apparently captured on film in at least two separate videos – one filmed during the daytime and another at night.

SpaceWeather.com is willing to take an extra step with the statement

Circumstantial evidence is mounting that the phenomenon was caused by a malfunctioning rocket, possibly an ICBM launched from a Russian submarine. A Navtex no-fly alert was issued for the White Sea on Dec. 9th, and photographers appear to have recorded the initial boost phase of a launch below the spiral.

Or maybe it was a Chinese attempt at putting a a military reconnaissance satellite in orbit.

A Chinese remote sensing mission, believed to be a military reconnaissance satellite, lifted off from a desert launch pad on a Long March rocket on Wednesday, state media reported.

The Long March 2D rocket blasted off at 0842 GMT (3:42 a.m. EST), or during the afternoon at the Jiuquan launching base near the border of northern China’s Inner Mongolia and Gansu provinces.

The 135-foot-tall booster’s two stages, fueled by hydrazine and nitrogen tetroxide, guided the Yaogan 7 payload into a sun-synchronous orbit about 400 miles high, according to public tracking data.

MSNBC has it explained away as well.

Russian and Norwegian news reports gave strong support to the missile hypothesis. The Infox.ru news site and Norway’s Barents Observer referred to Russian advisories about missile test launches that were to take place around the time of the sighting.

“The missile was most likely yet another failed test launch of a Bulava missile from the Typhoon submarine Dmitry Donskoy in the White Sea area,” the Barents Observer said. A similar phenomenon was spotted a month ago, but without the spectacular spiral.

The Norwegian Meteorological Institute was flooded with reports of a mysterious spiral and blue light in the sky over Norway the evening of December 8th, 2009.

Witnesses from Trøndelag to Finnmark reported a blue light that seemed to soar up from behind a mountain. It stopped mid-air, then began to circulate.

Air Traffic control in Tromsø claimed the light show lasted for two minutes, but admitted that was ‘far too long to be an astronomical phenomena.’

Tromsø Geophysical Observatory researcher Truls Lynne Hansen was certain the light had been caused by a missile launch.

He told Norwegian media that the missile had likely lost control and exploded. The spiral, he claimed, was the result of light reflecting on the leaking fuel. He was quoted as saying the light was sunlight, despite the strange lights showing up at night.

The Barents Observer quoted Norwegian Defence spokesman Jon Espen Lien as saying that the Norwegian military does not know what the lights were – but that they were probably from a Russian missile.

The Russian Defence Ministry was unavailable for comment.

A missile? Seriously? If that thing is real and not an altered photo, its freakin’ freaky.
Honestly, I was a little doubtful before I watched the videos.

And now I am just freaked out.

Northern lights? Maybe.

Aliens? Some sort of dimensional portal?

UFO over Russia captured on camera phone

My Russian isn’t good enough to figure out what date they are talking about, but at some point earlier this month, that weird Ring Halo UFO Over Moscow wasn’t the only unidentified thing floating over the skies of Russia.

The footage below was captured by a camera phone when two residents of St. Petersburg saw the object floating above the apartments and other buildings.

Interestingly enough, another posted of the same news report claims the object was seen over Leningrad.

UFO Halo Ring Over Moscow

Reports of an odd ring halo UFO that was seen from over Moscow on Wednesday October 7, 2009 has sparked discussion between those that believe it is a sign from God or alien spacecraft and weathermen over the source of the object.

One local meteorologist stated “”Several fronts have been passing through Moscow recently, there was an intrusion of the Arctic air too, the sun was shining from the west – this is how the effect was produced. This is purely an optical effect, although it does look impressive
If you look closer, you can see sun rays coming through that cloud. Most likely, the sun was setting when the video was being made.
If you observe clouds regularly, you may see many other astonishing things. Clouds of the same class may look absolutely different in different areas.”

The object was caught on video as it hovered over Moscow’s Western District.

Oddly, there seems to be no movement of the cloud in the short 34 second video that seems to be the source of the information surrounding the UFO.

Video captured on Oct. 7th, 2009, the west of the capital of Russia. In the skies over Moscow visible cloud of unusual shape. The video was shot at the Moscow Ring Road in moving from Volokolamsky to Novorizhskoe highway.
One eyewitness wrote that he had received comments about this cloud in the weather center. There he was informed that over Moscow sprang a tornado, but later cleared. On the fly “strange” clouds flew helicopter Ministry of Emergency Situations.

At this time, there is not information concerning how long the object was visible or how it disappeared.
