Exploring the weirdness of aliens, UFOs, exopolitics, cryptozoology, sasquatchploitation, other paranormal fortean phenomenon, and ultraterrestrial activities
Cairns is in the news for something besides topless sunbaking... UFOs.
Cairns Queensland Australia is more know for its topless ’sunbaking’ and warm tropical climate than being a UFO hotspot, but a UFO sighting on Monday has all those surfers and tourists watching the Australian night skies.
Reports have residents of Mooroobool seeing six unidentified lights between 7pm and 7.30pm on Monday August 24th. Witnesses claim the light moved oddly. A spokesman for Air Services Australia said no irregularities were recorded by air traffic controllers and a spokesman for the Navy claims it had no aircraft operating in the area at the time.
And still going one, with reports still coming in, the Orange Ball of Light (ORBL) sightings over the UK. If these are just chinese lanterns, I would suggest buying some stock in a chinese lantern company, because sales are up.
A big thanks to everyone who read a post, who made a comment, who sent in photos and stories and tips. A big thanks to everyone who linked to our site.
In the first year we had 200 posts exploring the weirdness of aliens, UFOs, exopolitics, cryptozoology, other paranormal fortean phenomenon, and ultraterrestrial activities. I expect the next year to bring weirder yet stories.
The article lists some previous sightings, the Kilcoy Yowie, Logan Bunyip; the Buderim Beast, and the Gayndah Bear, all unexplained creature sightings (more in the bigfoot category) and adds the Glenwood Panther to the list, after Colin Rossow, 67, was able to make a plaster cast of a foot print he found. After Rossow reported the print, others in Glenwood, north of Gympie, have come forward, with reports of a giant cat, including David Nelmes who has photographs of a panther-sized paw print he found in soft-packed clay around a water tank on his property.
No, not the reports of some weird Google Earth Maps that proves that UFOs are over Australia, I mean the John Lenard Walson stories from the past year and half.
Dating back to March of 2007 (from what I can tell) the internet has been bouncing around reports from amateur astronomer John Lenard Walson who claims to have devised an “apparatus” composed of a common CCD camcorder and a commercial grade telescope that is capable of zooming and focusing in on deep space objects (which appear to the naked eye as regular stars) in such a way, that their shape and structure becomes clearly visible.
Jeff Rense of www.rense.com claims to have some exclusive rights to the pictures, but they are other places online besides his pages.
This story comes with complete government and ‘men in black’ type harassment, a YouTube video (below) and Jose Escamilla movie references
