Exploring the weirdness of aliens, UFOs, exopolitics, cryptozoology, sasquatchploitation, other paranormal fortean phenomenon, and ultraterrestrial activities
Whales In Space made an attempt to find someone in the San Antonio area to investigate, look around a bit, take some pictures, ask some questions and see if there was anything else to the story that was not making the news.
We were quite excited when we got a response:
Very interesting. My friend and I may go check out the area and see
if we find anything based on the location given by the caller. If we
do, we’ll take some photos and some video of anything we might find.
We’ll even try to locate the woods resident and see if they will
answer some questions for us. I’ll let you know if we go out to do
it, and what we find if we do. With the weather the way it has been,
we may not find anything at all.
With great anticipation we waited. What would they find? Exclusive Whales In Space photos? The inside scoop?
After several days we got a response.
Found and saw nothing. Nothing really to report. Wish there would have
been, I love stuff like this and UFOs and such.
I emailed back asking specifically where they had gone and if they spoke with anyone…
But nothing back.
The AKA Bigfoot World Map is a great interactive google map showing the different names of Bigfoot-like creatures across the world. From Abnauayu to Yowie, check out Bigfoot and their cousins around the world.
BLC mission Statement
In an effort to explore the mysteries of our world and provide insights into ourselves, the Bigfoot Lunch Club will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of the truth concerning Bigfoot. We believe in truly open minds that are not afraid to question both the assumptions of science and the dogma of fanatics. Most importantly, we believe in a world bigger than the sum of our present knowledge that still holds mystery, wonder, and a place for a creature known as Bigfoot.
Expect to see a BFLC topic reposted on Whales In Space every now and then.
The 2009 Texas Bigfoot Conference will be held in Tyler, Texas, September 26, 2009 at the Caldwell Auditorium.
An all day event, going from 8:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M., the day is packed with great speakers: Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy (TBRC) Investigators Daryl Colyer and Jerry Hestand, TBRC Wildlife Biologist Alton Higgins, artist Robert Swain, and many more, including famed anthropologist, zoologist, cryptozoologist, and author Loren Coleman with his presentation entitled CryptoConsulting: Advice on Dealing with the Media.
That evening, from 7:30 P.M to 9:30 P.M., there will be a fundraiser banquet dinner with a special presentation by wildlife author and naturalist Peter Matthiessen. The dinner will be held at the Tyler Discovery Science Place.
The TBRC is funded by membership dues, fundraisers, and the annual Texas Bigfoot Conference, in addition to donations and grants. The TBRC desires to enhance the credibility of bigfoot/sasquatch research and facilitate a greater degree of acceptance by the scientific community and other segments of society of the likelihood of a biological basis behind the sasquatch mystery.
And still going one, with reports still coming in, the Orange Ball of Light (ORBL) sightings over the UK. If these are just chinese lanterns, I would suggest buying some stock in a chinese lantern company, because sales are up.
A big thanks to everyone who read a post, who made a comment, who sent in photos and stories and tips. A big thanks to everyone who linked to our site.
In the first year we had 200 posts exploring the weirdness of aliens, UFOs, exopolitics, cryptozoology, other paranormal fortean phenomenon, and ultraterrestrial activities. I expect the next year to bring weirder yet stories.
About 30 miles east of Portland the residents of Sandy, Oregon, prepare for their annual Sandy Mountain Festival, July 11th and 12th, and some undeniable and blatant sasquatchploitation is in full swing. Sandy is a town in Clackamas County of approximately 8000 people on the Sandy River in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and Mount Hood. A quick search reported bigfoot sightings in Clackamas County of BFRO’s database turns up a collection of Class A and Class B sightings.
Their local newspaper, the Sandy Post ran several strange articles concerning the Sasquatch Sightings contest, where $100 can be won if your entry form is randomly drawn by this Festival Queen.
BFRO returns to Utah for the first time since a 2007 expedition. Approximately 25 participants will spend the weekend setting up and monitoring audio and video equipment and hiking through the area looking for any sign of bigfoot. Reports as recent as two weeks ago of a strange hairy “reddish figure” and past discoveries of unexplained large foot prints in the area must have Utah Squatching Group member John R. Salmond excited to have the resources of the BFRO in Utah this weekend.
Utah is bit of a bigfoot hotspot, with multiple bigfoot groups. Utah Bigfoot claims there have been over 160 bigfoot sightings reported in Utah, most located around the Uintah mountains. Other hotspots include Big Cottonwood Canyon, Little Cottonwood Canyon, Timpanogas, Logan, Ogden, High Uintah’s, and West Desert.
Create your own Sasquatchploitation Flick at LivingSasquatch.com. You will need a webcam, a printer, and a few minutes to kill.
Print out the bigfoot print, aim the webcam at the image while your browser is at LivingSasquatch.com and get creative.
On completion, you have the option to download the movie or share it by email or your favorite social networking site.
Now we all can create sasquatchploitation movies. There are a wide variety of actions, emotions, and attacks you can have the bigfoot perform. I was thinking of reenacting my favorite scenes from The Legend Of Boggy Creek or Sasquatch: The Legend of Bigfoot.
If anyone makes their own, send us a link and we will post it.
The Bigfoot Discovery Project is launching the summer season and new exhibits, highlighting the Ray Crowe Collection, with a BBQ.
The event will be at the Bigfoot Discovery Museum 5497 Highway 9, Felton, CA 95018 and will feature a talk by David Paulides, who will be spotlighting his new book Tribal Bigfoot.
The Bigfoot Discovery Project was cofounded by Michael Rugg and Paula Yarr. Its purpose is to “educate the public at large about the probability of bigfoot and the current best guesses as to its habits and its place in the natural world.”
Paleontologist Jorn Hurum has the evolutionary world turned on its collective ear as he has released that he and his team have found a 47 million year old fossil, already with the cute name of Ida, that is the missing link in evolutionary theory between human and early primates.
To my disappointment, it looks more like a lemur than a bigfoot.
When they said ‘missing link fossil’, I wanted sasquatch, but what Hurum and his team found may be the creature that bridges the evolutionary split between higher primates such as monkeys, apes, and humans and their more distant relatives such as lemurs.
The fossil was found in Germany’s Messel Pit and is actually a ‘Darwinius masillae’, with grasping hands, opposable thumbs, clawless digits with nails, and relatively short limbs.
Do you know how much more fun this would be if they had found a bigfoot fossil?
